We noted higher involvement by these communities in their nominations of quality budding recording artistes. We also noted that different pop-music cultures had been promoted at HKAMF; and by adding Thailand to join HKAMF in the year 2015, and Vietnam to HKAMF 2018, our mission has become clearer. We are driving a Belt and Road mission in popular music.
Ms Fiona Lam, Assistant Head of CreateHK also attended the press launch today to show the Government’s support for the Hong Kong music sector. While congratulating on the successful organisation of HKAMF 2018 and expressing her gratitude to the IFPI (Hong Kong Group) for joining the Government in developing Hong Kong’s music sector, she also wished the local contestant for the Asian Supernova Award, Lydia Lau, a good show at HKAMF.
